Jean S. Weigle

Jean S. Weigle, age 86 of Dillsburg, passed away December 20, 2023 at home. She was born June 26, 1937 in York Springs to the late George A. and Blanche (Davis) Spertzel.

Jean worked at Carlisle Tire and Rubber until deciding to stay home and raise her 3 kids. She later returned to work as HR Manager at Frog Switch & Manufacturing Co. in Carlisle Pa. retiring after 22 yrs. She was a lifelong member of the York Springs United Methodist Church and was Treasurer for quite a few of those years.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ronald G. Weigle Sr. of Dillsburg; daughters Barbara E. Weigle of Etters Pa. and Melissa A. Stanley and husband Craig of Junction, TX; son Ronald G. Weigle Jr. and wife, Patricia of York Springs; three grandsons Shaun, Justin, and Grayson; a great-granddaughter Haylee; and her brother Luther Spertzel of Florida. Jean was preceded in death by her brothers Ira Spertzel, Clair Spertzel, Lloyd Spertzel, Robert Spertzel, Richard Spertzel and sisters Catherine Cole and Romaine Trimmer.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12:00PM until time of memorial service at 1:00PM at York Springs Global Methodist Church, 840 Trolley Road, York Springs, PA 17372. Pastor Trish Guise will officiate. Jean will be laid to rest at Idaville Cemetery.
