Jeanne M. Kennedy

Jeanne “Jeanie” M. Kennedy, age 69, of Biglerville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home in Biglerville. She was born December 17, 1953 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, as the daughter of the late Milton and Anne (Opar) Morozowich.


Jeanne graduated in the Class of 1971 Hempfield Area High School. She graduated with honors from La Roche University then received her Master’s Degree in Biology from Duquesne University. She went on to teach as a Biology Professor, specializing in Anatomy & Physiology, and other special sciences at HACC, Robert Morris University, Duquesne University, CCAC Allegheny Campus and taught Environment Sciences at Penn State University at Schuylkill County. In her spare time, she enjoyed working with wood to create shelves and other useful home items, dabbling in portrait photography, and most of all, spending time with her family and beloved husband and best friend, Thomas.


Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, together for seven years, Thomas W. Kennedy Biglerville; daughter, Erin Klinges (James Day) of John’s Island, SC; grandson, Jack Klinges; two brothers, Milton and his wife, Kathy Morozowich and Michael and his wife, Nadine Morozowich; sister, Gloria and her husband, Jerry Hooper; God-daughter, Janet Hooper (Ray); many nieces and nephews; several grandnieces and nephews; many great-grandnieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Poppy and Henry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, whom she married in 1974 and passed in 2009, Robert L. Workman, sister, Judy Mance and brother, James Morozowich.


Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family.
