Jesús Aquino Velasco

Jesús Aquino Velasco, age 40, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his home in Shippensburg. He was born November 24, 1980 in Santo DomJesingo de Progreso, Oaxaca, Mexico, the son of Francisco Florentino Aquino Hernandez and Benita Cecilia Velasco Hernandez. He was employed for many years by Gayman Farms as a farm manager. Jesus loved to worship the Lord, be it singing or playing the drums or piano. His hobbies included cooking, gardening and caring for his chickens and goats, along with spending time with his family and friends. He also attended Rios de Agua Viva at Mt. Rock Church in Shippensburg for many years. He is survived by his loving Grecia; his parents, Francisco Florentino Aquino Hernandez and Benita Cecilia Velasco Hernandez; three daughters, Ester Aquino, Keny Berenice Aquino, and Jade Esmeralda Aquino; three sons, Aron Aquino, Isaac Aquino, Jesús Francisco Aquino; four sisters, Maria Aquino, Rosa Aquino, Teresa Aquino, and Sofia Aquino; two brothers, Venancio Aquino and Rafael Aquino; and 22 nieces and nephews. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A Viewing will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 28 at Mt. Rock Church, 22 Mt. Rock Road, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM at the church with Pastor Brad Stutzman and Pastor Fernando Garcia officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, April 21 at 7:15 PM in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
