Jimmie L. Grimsley

Jimmie L. Grimsley, age 77 of Fairfield, formerly of Gettysburg, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at York Hospital. He was born Thursday, December 21, 1939, in Shine, NC the son of the late Johnnie T. and Fannie E. (Ellis) Grimsley. Jimmie was formerly employed by Gettysburg College for 15 years. He had also worked at Timmons Sewing Factory in Bonneauville for 10 years, Lee Metals for 6 years and Reever Plumbing in Littlestown for 2 years. His wife Fannie P. (Weaver) Grimsley passed in 2008. He is survived by his sister, Nola H. Bowers of Westminster, MD, brother Raymond T. Grimsley of Sykesville, MD, two step-sisters, Velma Moore of Baltimore Co., MD and Ruth Ann Bartholow of Westminster, MD, foster brother, Warren Stair of Taneytown, MD, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister Sadie Miller and brother Herman Grimsley. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Interment will be at the discretion of the family.
