Joanne Elaine Sease

Joanne Elaine Sease, age 66 of Gettysburg, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was born February 17, 1958 in Gettysburg to Fred and Faye (Murtoff) Strickhouser.

Joanne was retired from Adams County Office of Aging and was on the Gettysburg Anniversary Committee. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, she loved golf and gardening and had an incredible green thumb and could grow anything. Joanne was a good bookkeeper; she liked genealogy, and she made the best chocolate chip cookies in the world!

She is survived by her mother, Faye; children, Joseph R. Mickley and wife, Jessica of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kristi Voigt and husband, Timothy of Thurmont, MD; grandchildren, Joseph R. Mickley, Jr. and wife, Hannah, Tyler Mickley and Cody Mickley; a great-grandchild on the way; grand dogs, Arlo and Sam; siblings, Larry Strickhouser and wife, Kimberly of York Springs, Patty Leisinger and husband, Ron of York Springs, Stephanie Reever and husband, Patrick of Gettysburg, Richard Strickhouser and wife, Tammy of York Springs and Robert Strickhouser and wife, Chris of Bendersville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Fred and sister, Mary Lou Strickhouser.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where friends will be received from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024. Pastor Craig Loewen will officiate the Funeral.
