Jodi Lynn Whistler

Jodi L. Whistler, age 63, of Newburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 17, 1959 in Carlisle to the late Robert L. and Bonnie (Hockenberry) Rose.

Jodi retired from Ross Distribution in Carlisle, where she was a supervisor and later worked for several years at Schreiber Foods. She was an avid NASCAR fan and a faithful follower of Jeff Gordon, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael R. Whistler, Sr.; son, Michael R. Whistler, Jr. of Northumberland, PA; three grandchildren, Dallis M. Whistler of Newburg, Brittin and her husband, Jason Pensinger of Coronado, CA, Brice Whistler and his companion, Mackenzie Traini of Newburg; brother, Robert L. Rose, Sr. of Bradenton, FL; two sisters, Cindy Darr and her companion, Randy Moyer of Boiling Springs and Brenda Shaffer and her husband, Cloyd of Orrstown, also many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Jodi was preceded in death by her three bull dogs, Missy, Hazel and China.

Professional Services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be private as per Jodi’s wishes.
