John S. Becker

John Shannon Becker, age 47, of Chambersburg, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born April 18, 1974 in Sterling, VA, the son of the late Ross Vincent and Beverly Jane (Boyer) Becker. John graduated in the Class of 1992 from Everett High School in Everett, PA. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Shippensburg University and was very involved in athletics while in college. He started his career as a policeman, then succeeded in various management positions in other industries, and ended his career path with his last position where he found his niche in real estate. He was known by his family and friends as being a loyal, extremely kind, very giving person and being very talented in all trades. In his spare time, John enjoyed watching sunsets, traveling, cooking, golfing, watching sports and going out for beer and wings. John is survived by his loving fiancé, Amira Zejcirovic of Chambersburg; daughter, Kali Becker of Claysburg, PA; granddaughter, Stella Becker; brother, Brian Becker; aunt, Mary Ann Abel and extended family members. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Dave Becker. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Public Graveside Services will take place Friday, March 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, White Church Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202. A Reception from 1:00 – 3:00 PM will follow the graveside services at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s memory to the Shippensburg Police Department, 60 W. Burd St, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
