John “Bud” R. Osler, Jr., age 68, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home. He was born Sunday, June 29, 1952 in Chambersburg, the son of the late John R. Sr. and Trevan J. (Fleece) Osler. Bud was formerly employed by NFI Industries in Shippensburg for 4 years. Prior to NFI, he drove for Cressler Trucking. During his 42 year driving career, he achieved his million mile driver status. Bud also worked at the Shippensburg Speedway for many years. He was a member of VFW of Chambersburg, and AMVets of Chambersburg. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathleen J. (McKee) Osler. He is also survived by one daughter, Stacey L. Osler of Shippensburg; one son, John R. Osler, III of McConnellsburg; one granddaughter, Samantha Mentzer of Shippensburg; one grandson Anthony Keefer of Shippensburg; great-grandson, Arden Mentzer; three step-children, Thomas Shields, Jr. of Ft. Loudon, Keith Shields of Chambersburg, Dewayne Shields of Shippensburg; three step-granddaughters, Hailey Shields, Riley Shields, Carley Shields; step-grandson, Bentley Shields; five sisters, Linda Tucker of Boonsboro, MD, Patti Divens of Chambersburg, Kathleen Clopper of Chambersburg, Kristine Rock of Shippensburg and Melissa Willey of Chambersburg. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Harold Kriner; niece Shelly Doyle and great-niece Macey McKnight. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. His family will celebrate his life privately.
