John Stephen Fitzgerald

John Stephen Fitzgerald, age 83 of Ft. Loudon, passed away January 13, 2025 at Menno Haven. He was born June 5, 1941 in Roanoke, VA to the late James Lester and Alice Lenora (Hart) Fitzgerald.

John was the vice president of special projects for Ingersoll-Rand Company. He was a member of Falling Spring Presbyterian Church. He was a member of USPA, VFW, Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion, the Masonic Lodge in Norfolk, VA, Khedive Temple Shrine in Norfolk, VA, Vietnam Land Clearers Association and the NRA. John was a US Army Veteran and enjoyed skydiving and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roberta (White) Fitzgerald of Ft Loudon; son, Robert Stephen Fitzgerald and wife, Tina of Harrisburg; daughter, Tamie Suzanne Fitzgerald of St Thomas; grandchildren, Tiernan Riley Fitzgerald, Carter Stephen Fitzgerald, Brodey Robert Fitzgerald, Zuri Airlea Deneau and Elisha (Deneau) Kinzer and husband, Joe; 3 great-grandchildren and brother, Clendon Fitzgerald of Denver, CO. John was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Baughn and Robert Fitzgerald.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00am. Brenda Doyle, Chaplain at Menno Haven will officiate the funeral. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
