John H. Turner Iv

John H. Turner IV, age 49 of Biglerville, entered into God's eternal care on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born Friday, March 3, 1961 in Washington D.C., the son of John H. (Jack) Turner of Ocala, FLand Barbara A. Harris of Sykesville, MD. He was the foster son of Peter B. White of Rockville, MD. John graduated from Robert Peary High School in Montgomery Co., MD. John was a truck driver formerly employed by L H Trucking of Hanover and S H Express of York.He was a great supporter and participant in the Make-A-Wish ride for terminally ill children. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Karol J. (Runk) Turner to whom he was married for 15 years. He is also survived by twodaughters, Jessica R. and husband Robert Stogdale of Orrtanna, Heather Duke of Hagerstown, MD and one son, John M. Turner of Gaithersburg, MD; seven grandchildren: Brynn, Brooke and Jeric Stogdale, Isabella Turner, Carley Dillard, Trusteen and Syesha Johnson; threebrothers: Donald Turner and wife Tracey of Westminster, MD, Thomas and wife Aimee Turner of Chevy Chase, MD, Scott Turner and wife Regan of New Market, MD; sister-in-laws: Melissa Turner of Urbana, MD, Vickie Barrick of Titusville, FL and Sharon Heller of Aspers; stepmother Joanne Turner of Ocala, FL and many nieces and nephews. John is also survived by a very close family friend, Dale Cooke of Dewey Beach, DE. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Turner. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 30 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend John S. Goff officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening, August 29 from 6:00 to 8:00.
