John H. Wiegand, Jr.

John H. Wiegand Jr., age 64 of Biglerville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 atGettysburg Hospital. He was born Wednesday, June 13, 1951 in Somerville, NJ, the son of the late and John H. and Emily A. (Vogel) Wiegand Sr. He was married to Evelyn Mae (Daugherty) Wiegand on May 22, 1971. He grew up in Perry County on a family farm. He attended Susquenita High School in Perry County. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the Maintenance Mechanic for Inland Container in Biglerville for 17 1/2 years and retired in 1991. While retired he spent time with his family, took care of his wife, liked to fish, hunt and work in his shop. He was a Jehovah's Witness and attended Kingdom Hall in Hanover, PA. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mae Wiegand; two daughters, Sue M. Wiegand Munshour of Gettysburg, and Bonnie J. Wiegand of Biglerville; two grandchildren, Ashley and Nicholas Munshour both of Gardners; sister Darlene A. Freet of Clear Water, FL; brother James F. Wiegand of Waxhaw, NC and several nieces and nephews. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
