Joni N. Scheufel

Joni N. Scheufel, age 71of Gettysburg, PA passed away May 22, 2018 at Transitions Health Care. Joni was born Sunday, October 27, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to the late John H. and Cutis E. (Atkins) Scheufel, formerly of Gettysburg. Joni was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen L. Pifer. Joni is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Jeannette (JJ) Somerville (John Eaton) and Kelly Denise Price (William Lee - known as BJ) and two grandchildren, Cade Owen Price and Leyton Abigayle Price. Joni served 13 years in law enforcement in both Virginia and Maryland and worked several years in the administrative field. Joni was also a volunteer for the National Park Service in Gettysburg and enjoyed meeting and greeting people. Joni had a passion for a few things, including photography, ham radios, outdoor activities, animals, art, music, computers and was very handy fixing things over the years. Joni had a carefree spirit and loved to laugh and make others laugh. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 16 in the Wenksville Cemetery, 2010 Wenksville Road, Biglerville with Rev. George Heberlig officiating.
