Jose L. Gonzalez

Jose L. Gonzalez, Sr., age 67 of Shippensburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home. He was born Wednesday, April 23, 1947 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Luis andVirginia (Garcia) Gonzalez. Jose was formerly employed as a school bus driver for Zeller Bus Services in Lebanon. He was a member of Chambersburg Church of God. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Julie(Negron) Gonzalez. He is also survived by two daughters, Evie and husband Dennis Birtch of New Bloomfield, Emily Gonzalez of Shippensburg; two sons, Jose L. Gonzalez, Jr., and Stephen Gonzalez, both of Shippensburg; a granddaughter, Sabrena Wiley of New Bloomfield; a sister, Raquel Gonzalez of Puerto Rico; four brothers, Jose Angel Gonzalez of LakeWales, FL, Francisco Gonzalez, Raymond Gonzalez and Julio Gonzalez, all of Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carmin and Annabel Gonzalez. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 7 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Federico Laureano officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday, July 6 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
