Joseph W. Ross

Joseph W. Ross, age 62, formerly of Bolivar, New York, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home in Shippensburg. He was born Monday, June 28, 1954 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Eugene D. and Helen Mae (Westover) Ross. He was a graduate of Kenmore West High School in Kenmore, NY. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Lucinda, in West Clarksville, NY. In 1985, they moved to Shippensburg. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot. He was a member of the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church. Joseph was a skilled woodworking craftsman. He built everything from wood toys to houses for his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and local streams and lakes. Joseph was a family man and loved spending as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren. He served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lucinda (Robinson) Ross, daughters, Holly Ross and Amy (David) Simkins, grandchildren, Sunshine, David, Wyatt, Emma and a brother, Jeffrey Ross. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June, 10, 2017 at the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center Street, Chambersburg with Pastor Brent Wildeson officiating.
