Joyce A. Vaughn

Joyce A. Vaughn, age 77, of Shippensburg died Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Akron General Medical Center, Akron, Ohio. She was born Friday, June 23, 1944 in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late William and Olive (Harris) Scott. Joyce graduated from Shippensburg High School. She was formerly employed by SKF Industries for many years. She was a member of Ridge Church of the Brethren. She was affectionately known as Joyce, JoyceAnn, Baby Joyce, Mom, Momma Joyce, Aunt Joyce, Grammy, Grandma and friend to everyone. Joyce loved her family and friends fiercely. She loved holidays, celebrations, family reunions, festivals and fireworks. She loved singing gospel music, playing Canasta, Diet Pepsi and the beautiful scenic mountains of her hometown. Most of all, she loved people...ALL PEOPLE. Our hearts are heavy, but we know that Mom is in the arms of our Savior! We love you Mom and we will see you in Glory! She survived by two daughters, Christy Falkosky of Medina, OH, Debbie Schmalfeldt of Lancaster, OH, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Sarah Diehl, and a brother Kenneth and wife Janet Scott. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn, Grace, Mary, Dorothy, a brother, William Scott and her son Mark. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26 at Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.
