Judith “Judy” R. Everts, age 88 of Shippensburg, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Shippensburg Health Care Center. She was born August 10, 1931 in Mechanicsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Dorothy C. (Snoderly) Miller. Judy was a homemaker. For 13 years, Judy worked for Tracey Fashions, Chambersburg as a sewing machine operator. She also worked in the foodservice department at Shippensburg University where she retired after 13 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Walnut Bottom. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Kunkleman. In 1965, she married Millard E. Everts to whom she was married for almost 25 years, until he passed away in 1989. Judy was also preceded in death by her four sisters, Dorothy Robinson, Rosalie Miller, Frances Gross and Constance Hockley; step-sister, Elizabeth and two brothers, James Miller and Daniel Miller. She is survived by her two sons, Charles L. Kunkleman and wife Brenda of Shippensburg and Ronald E. Kunkleman and wife Hazel of Newville; two granddaughters; four great-granddaughters and several great-great-grandchildren. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held at a later date and time at the discretion of the family.
