Julia K. Group Bucher

Julia K. Group Bucher, age 92 of Gettysburg, formerly of Biglerville, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg. She was born Friday, December 19, 1919 in Huntington Township, Adams County, the daughter of the late William G. and Maude G. (Weirman) Stallsmith. She retired from Rice Fruit Co. after many years of service and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Aspers and Red Hats at Transitions. Her first husband Luther K. Group passed in 1978 and her second husband, Thurston Bucher died in 2000. She is survived by two daughters: Lois A. and husband Donald Hartzel of Arendtsville, Deborah K. and husband Larry Kline of Gardners; two sons: Ronald C. and wife Judy Group of Biglerville, Stanley K. and wife Patricia Group of Gardners; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her sister Lena Miller and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Frederick Group, a grandson, Rickey Group, a granddaughter, Kristy Group Sterne, two great-grandchildren: Braxton and Braden Labuzetta; two sisters: Mildred Miller and Margaret Fair and a brother, Kenneth Stallsmith. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 2, at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville with Reverend Robert S. McEllroy III officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, P.O.
