Karen L. Hinkle, age 71 of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was born Monday, April 24, 1944 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late James S. and Nellie M. (Barnes) Hassinger, Sr. Karen attended Chambersburg High School. She was formerly employed by Knouse Foods Inc. in Gardners for 20+ years. She had also worked at Duffy-Motts, Cadbury Beverages in Aspers. She was a member of Vietnam Club and a supporter of DAV. Karen will be greatly missed by her cat, Moe. Her husband, Fremont Hinkle passed away in 2009. She is survived by her three daughters, Vicki L. and husband Dwight Rauch of Chambersburg, Lisa S. Kriebel and fianc� Richard Thomas of Biglerville, Rebecca A. and husband Mike Clouse of Shippensburg, one son, Robert L. Mitchell of Chambersburg, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Anne Miller of Jackson, NC, Susan Fahnestock of GA, Caroline Fahnestock of Powell, OH She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan M. Clouse, step-granddaughter, Amanda L. Thomas and one brother, James S. Hassinger, Jr. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
