Katherine D. Harglerode

Katherine “Kap” D. Harglerode, age 86, of Shippensburg, died Friday, January 3, 2020 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born October 17, 1933 in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Aaron H. and Bessie M. (Hoch) Mentzer. Katherine retired from Cressler’s Market after working as a baker there for over 27 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, Pinochle, bowling and dancing in her younger years. Katherine is survived by one daughter, Dawn Chamberlin and husband, Jerry of Shippensburg; two sons, Michael Harglerode and wife, Barb of Shippensburg and Gary Harglerode and wife, Lorrie of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Kaila Harglerode and Lauren Harglerode. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Mentzer and Aaron S. Mentzer and three sisters, Esther Spero, Thelma Wingerd and Alethia Miller. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services are at the discretion of the family.
