Kathy Elaine Nezat

Kathy “Shea” or “Nana” Elaine Nezat, age 62, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born August 7, 1961 in Carlisle, PA the daughter of Mary Irena (Martin) Hare and the late Wayne T. Wyrick.

Kathy graduated in the Class of 1979 from Big Spring High School. Kathy started working at what is now M&T bank the week after graduation and worked there for 45 years until her passing.

Kathy loved traveling with her husband of 43 years, Gregory, especially to Hawaii. She enjoyed swimming, spending time with her family and the neighbors who became family over the years. Kathy was known for her amazing meals and would never let anyone leave her home hungry. She volunteered with the local homeless shelters. She was generous and kind and had an infectious laugh and love for dogs.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Greg J. Nezat; three children, Alecia (John) Pyne, Ashley (Frank) Deimler and Taylor (Annie) Nezat; along with her favorite people, her grandchildren, Loretta Deimler, Clay Deimler, Easton Pyne, Leon Nezat and Shepherd Nezat; mother, Mary; step-father, Charles E. Hare; two brothers, Thomas (Bunny) Wyrick and Donald (Janet) Wyrick; sister, Nicole (John) Wyrick-Hospodavis; two sisters-in-law, Sharlene Williams and Lynette Drake; brothers-in-law, Byron Nezat and Jeff Callan and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Anita Callan and nephew, Alex Callan.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor Dave Halteman officiating. A Public Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.
