Kay K. Inman

Kay K. Inman, age 71, formerly of Williamsburg, KY and most recently of Bendersville, PA, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at York Hospital, after a hard battle with cancer surrounded by her family that loves her deeply. She was born Tuesday, January 22, 1946 in Lihue, Kauai, HI, daughter of the late Edward Tadashi and Mikie (Fujita) Hashimoto. Kay graduated from high school in Honolulu, HI in 1964. Kay was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and doing crafts. She also enjoyed ceramics and pottery. Gardening was a very important part of her life, as was cooking. Attending her grandchildren's events and babysitting them was one of her greatest joys. In most recent weeks, she spent most of her time surrounded by her husband, her children, her children's spouses, her grandchildren, her siblings and nieces and nephews. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Williamsburg. She was a member of the Ladies Sunday School class of the church. She taught Sunday school and had a lot of involvement with the youth of her church. She assisted the church with meals and banquets. During her illness, she was showered with get well cards and phone calls by her church family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Chester F. Inman, Sr. She is also survived by two daughters, Joie H. (Ben) Eley of Bell Buckle, TN, Carol M. (Daryl) Crum of Bendersville, four sons, Bryan K. (Loriann) Hashimoto of Hawaii, Darryl D. (Kim) Inman of Bendersville, Richard S. Inman of Biglerville and Chester F. (Tricia) Inman, Jr. of Bendersville, seven grandsons Michael Inman, Kyle Inman, Dakota Inman, Dalton Inman, Kalani Crum, Ryan Cadiente and Bryson Estrella, three granddaughters, Caitlyn Mathis, Kelsey Crum and Raissa Cadiente, three step-grandsons, four great-grandchildren, four brothers, Jay Hashimoto, Paul Hashimoto, Stanley Hashimoto, Gale Hashimoto, four sisters, Helen Yamamoto, Stella Wardenaar, Linda Yamasaki, and Gloria Alicea. Professional Services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 2 at St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street, Gettysburg, with Reverend Michael Allwein officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, September 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville and at the church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
