Kay Lynette Hershberger, age 61 of Shippensburg, was called to her heavenly home May 1, 2012, after an extended illness of Muscular Dystrophy. She was born August 26, 1950 in Altoona, the daughter of the late Samuel and Jessie (Imes) Neterer. She was a 1968 graduate of Holidaysburg High School. She was employed at Murphy's Department Store and also Morrison Cove Home. She was a dedicated Christian, wife and mother. She is a member of Waterside Church of the Brethren and attended Hades Church of the Brethren. She married David C. Hershberger on August 11, 1973. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Christian A. and Christina (Kennedy) of Greencastle, Luke David at home; five daughters: Rachel L., Rebecca K. and Doreen E. at home, Sara J. Elliott and Ben of McConnellsburg and Dorcas A. Conley and Daniel of Mt. Joy and a brother, Jerry L. Neterer of Odenton, MD. Also surviving aretwo half brothers: Ronald Ritz and Mitch Miller, three half-sisters: Charlotte Stiver, Audrey Rodriguez and Alberta Lettieri. In her earlier years she assisted in the day to day operations of their dairy farm. Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, Friday May 4 at the Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11am, May 5 at the Ridge Church of the Brethren. Interment will be in Hades Church Cemetery near Waynesboro. Arrangements are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257. The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Helps, P.O.
