Keith E. Rex

Keith E. Rex, age 83 of Aspers passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital of University of Maryland in Towson, MD. He was born Sunday, August 30, 1931 in Menallen Twp., Adams County, the son of the late Hiram E. and Lenore (Starner) Rex. Keith graduated from Biglerville High School in 1949. He was formerly employed by Kimberly Clarke formerly Schweitzer Paper Mill in Mt. Holly Springs for over 40 years. He also owned and operated a beef and crop farm in Aspers until 2012. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Upper Adams Fish and Game, South Mt. Antique Engine Association where he was a founding member and a current director. He was also involved in many antique tractor associations and clubs. He also served on the board of the Bendersville Cemetery Association until 2013. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Shafer) Rex to whom he was married for 64 years as of June 2. He is also survived by a daughter, Kathleen M. and husband Charles E. Gore of Westminster, MD, five sons, David K. and wife Anna Mae R. Rex of Gardners, Garry O. Rex of Aspers, Michael C. Rex of Aspers, Dwight A. Rex of York Springs, five step-granddaughters, eleven step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandson and two sisters, Janet Stegner of Middletown, MD, Lois Alander of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene A. Rex, and two sisters, Linda G. Lehman and Ilean Breighner Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 23 at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville with Reverend Gary Fanus officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
