Keith D. Stone

Keith Duane Stone, age 64, passed away in the comfort of his home in Shippensburg, PA from natural causes. Keith was born on July 22, 1954 in Muskegon, MI. He was the son of late Leslie and Anna (Thorson) Stone. Keith attended Carlisle Senior High School. He was a man of talent. He enjoyed fixing things around the house and watching the history channel. He loved having a good debate. He enjoyed walks in the woods, hanging out and having fun with friends. He also enjoyed riding bikes and growing up with his step-children. Keith had a special way with his grandchildren. He enjoyed joking around with them. Keith had a love for animals. He also had an interest in cars. In his free time, he liked to work at the car shows at the Carlisle fairgrounds. Keith had previously worked at Universal Protective Package and Allen Distribution. On August 18, 1996 in Carlisle, PA, he married his love, Catherine Helen (Hempstead) Stone. Together they celebrated 23 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife and his four step- children, Zachary, Amber-Sunshine and Jacqueline Griggs all of Shippensburg, PA, nine grandchildren, three brothers, Leslie Stone of Michigan, Manny Stone of Mechanicsburg, PA and Kevin Stone of Rhode Island and two sisters, Bonny (Stone) Barclay of Carlisle, PA and Nancy Stone of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his brother Gary Stone of Maryland and his step-son Kenneth “Kenny” Hempstead. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8 at Grand Point Church, 246 S. Fayette Street, Suite 9, Shippensburg.
