Kenneth E. Mickley, Sr., age 76, of Biglerville died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Sunday, December 30, 1934 in Fairfield, the son of the late Earl and Clara (Kittinger) Mickley. Kenneth graduated from Biglerville High School in 1953. Hewas employed by Cadbury Beverages, formerly Duffy Mott Co. in Aspers, for 46 years. He was a member of Wenksville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, country and bluegrass music, the Phillies and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Earlene A. (Tuckey) Mickley to whom he was married for almost 57 years. He is also survived by three sons: Kenneth E. and wife Jenny Mickley, Jr., Steven R. Mickley and Neil A. Mickley, all of Biglerville; nephew Kirby McKinney of Harrisburg; six grandchildren: Bill, Justin, Jerry, Nick, Scott, and Melanie Mickley; eight great grandchildren: Brayden, Carter, Darren, Dylan, Vincent, Linkin and Keirstyn Mickley and Ian McKinney; a brother, John Mickley of Biglerville and two sisters: Dorothy Moose and Carrie Wampler, both of Aspers. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cool and a brother, Jay Mickley. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 22 at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville with the Reverend James R. Speelman officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 21 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
