Kenneth E. Wagaman, age 79 of Bendersville, passed away peacefully, after several health issues, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at York Hospital with his wife and children by his side. He was born Monday, June 27, 1938, in Menallen Twp. Adams Co. the son of the late Frank R. and Tillie (Warren) Wagaman. Ken graduated from Biglerville High School in 1957. He drove truck for fifty years. Ken began his driving career hauling automobiles with his father. He then drove for Kuhn Trucking, H.C. Gabler, and PPG Industries before retiring from L & H Trucking. Ken received an award for 3 million miles of safe driving without an accident. He was a member of Wenksville United Methodist Church, Life member of the Bendersville Fire Company, and a member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville. Ken loved to hunt and fish, watch Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He and his wife loved to travel and were delighted to spend their 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii, as a gift from their children. In 2016, they enjoyed returning to Hawaii for their 55th anniversary. Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet M. (Shildt) Wagaman. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammy J. Wagaman of Camp Hill, son, Greg K. Wagaman of Aspers, three brothers, Gary R. and wife Phyllis Wagaman of Biglerville, Roger L. and wife Vickie Wagaman of York Springs, Randy F. and wife Sue Wagaman of Aspers, and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his rescue kitties, Cody and Little Kitty. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 9, at Wenksville United Methodist Church, 2010 Wenksville Rd., Biglerville, with Rev. Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday at Dugan Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until time of services.
