Kenton Denisar

Kenton C. “Pap” Denisar, 96, of Aspers, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of the late Betty Denisar to whom he was married to for 60 years. He was born in Pitcairn, PA, the son of the late John and Elsie (Nedro) Denisar. He worked at Duffy Motts in Aspers for 35 years, served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for 20 years, and was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Brethren Church in Guernsey (Aspers).

He is survived by sons, James (Faith) Niner of Doylestown and Curtis (Bonnie) Denisar of Fremont, CA and daughters, Debra (Chris) Jordon of Fairfield, Kathy (Daryl) Thomas of Gettysburg, and Judy (Markus) Pringle of Columbia, PA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion, Ms. Dawn Dovey. He was preceded by brothers, John, Jr., and Dale Denisar, and sisters, Gwen Hollabaugh and Dorothy Davis.

Funeral Services will be held at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville on Tuesday, January 28 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Craig Loewen officiating. A Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Military honors will be provided by Adams County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Olivet Church UBIC, c/o Jean Griest, 956 Carlisle Road, Biglerville, PA 17304, or to American Legion Post #262, 142 4th Street, Biglerville, PA 17307.

“Pap” was a caring, compassionate soul who loved his family and wife immensely. He enjoyed singing, traveling, going to carnivals, listening to bluegrass music and we can't forget “The Steelers”. He spent a lot of time in his workshop making toys, sitting on the porch watching the deer and hanging out with his little black kitty, “Booty”.

He will be greatly missed by so many people. But we won't say good bye, we'll just say, as Pap would say, “Till we meet again in our heavenly home above...So Long”! We love you Pap.
