Kore D. Byler

Kore D. Byler, age 84 of Elliottsburg, passed away July 10, 2026 at home. He was born November 5, 1941 in Belleville to the late John Z. and Amelia (Yoder) Byler. Kore worked many years doing construction and in his later years, was a cemetery caretaker.

He is survived by his children; Luke Byler, Elisha Byler and wife, Yolanda, John Byler and wife, Beth and Salome Peachey and husband, Elam; 26 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ezra Byler and wife, Mary Catherine and sisters; Sarah Beachy and husband, Daniel and Phoebe Beachy and husband, Melvin. Kore was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Myers); brothers; Jake Byler, Jonas Byler, John Byler and Andy Byler and sisters; Fannie Hostetler and Mattie Martin.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at Shippensburg Christian Fellowship, 10600 Blind Lane, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 10:00am at the church. Funeral will be conducted by Harvey Reiff. Kore will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
