Kurt Alan Janke

Kurt Alan Janke, age 77 of Hanover, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, while receiving VNA Hospice Care at The Pappus House in Thomasville, PA. He was born September 17, 1947, in Rhinelander, WI, to the late Clarence E. and Mary E. (Bostwick) Janke.

Kurt received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Stout State University, WI, in 1969. His Engineering Career started at Kearney & Trecker Corp. and continued to Modine Manufacturing Co., J I Case, and Twin Disc. In 1986 Kurt relocated to PA as a Manufacturing Engineer at BMY, later becoming Self-employed as the Owner of Kurt Janke Construction in 1992.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stephanie A. (Bucher) Janke; his daughters, Dana (David) Griffith, and Kara (Michael) Belmas-Klopp; five grandchildren, Alek, Maya, and Liam Belmas, and Megan and Michael Griffith; brother Phil (Beverly) Janke, a niece Jenny and nephew Steve.

Kurt enjoyed bowling, country music, and he was an avid NASCAR Race fan. He liked to fish, hike, play golf and solved Sudoku and Jigsaw 1000-piece puzzles. Kurt and Stephanie took road trips across country, and traveled on various mission trips involving construction projects and working with children. They also served in Financial, Marriage, and Prison Ministries along with Bible Study Small Groups. Kurt attended Intersection Church, Gettysburg, PA.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, with Funeral Service following at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heaven's Family, P.O.
