Kyle D. Kirby

Kyle D. Kirby, age 51 of Shippensburg, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Saturday, November 19, 1960 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Alvin J. and Bessie M. (Weikle) Kirby. He was employed by Interstate Waste Services in Newburg for 18 years. He had previously worked for Affiliated Industries in Shippensburg. He attended South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church. Kyle loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anita J. (Lynch) Kirby. He is also survived by two daughters: Casey Armstrong of Shippensburg, Heather Johnson of Walnut Bottom; six sisters: Suzie Mackey of Shippensburg, Patricia Mowery of West Virginia, Darlene Stee of Florida, Vicki Miner of Mississippi, Kathy Chamberlain of Shippensburg, Doris Kibler of Chambersburg, and four grandchildren. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25 at 11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Reverend Dave Erisman officiating.Interment will be in Cleversburg Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 25 from 10:00 AM until time of services.
