Larry G. Heller, age 66 of Gardners, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Tuesday, June 13, 1950 in Gettysburg, the son of the late Glenn R. and Marie A. (Harman) Heller. Larry graduated from Biglerville High School in 1968. He was formerly employed at New Cumberland Army Depot for close to 30 years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Wenksville. He was a life member of Ira E. Lady Post 262 American Legion in Biglerville and a member of the Williams Grove Steam Engine Association. He enjoyed playing bingo. He will be greatly missed by his terrier, Blaze. He served in the US Air Force for 16 years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. His wife, Anna Mae (Herman) Heller preceded him in death. He is survived by his companion Rosanna Julian of Palmyra. He is also survived by three sisters, Alverda A. Strausbaugh of Orrtanna, Fay L. Heller of Gettysburg, Nancy M. Sneed of Gettysburg, several nieces, nephews, great neices and great nephews. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 11 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend B. Wesley Smith III officiating.Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
