Larry D. Lowry

Larry D. Lowry, age 88, of Chambersburg, passed away July 19, 2022 at Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 29, 1934 in Quincy Township, a son of the late John Albert and Marion Viola (Meister) Lowry. He was widowed by his wife, Jean (Baker) Lowry in 2020. Larry was an engineer for Mack Trucks and served in the US Army. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club and loved woodworking. He is survived by his children; Scott Lowry and husband Kevin of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Carol Kearns of Shippensburg and Michael Lowry and wife Kelly of Johnson City, NY, grandchildren; Sean and Lee Lowry and James and Jennifer Kearns, great-grandchildren; Regan, Olivia, James and Kendyl. He is also survived by his sister, Terry Reed of South Carolina. Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and son-in-law, Robin Kearns. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. At Larry’s request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
