Larry A. Werner

Larry Aaron Werner, age 77, of Shippensburg, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born May 6, 1947 in Hanover, PA as the son of the late Raymond Aaron and Carrie Alice (Miller) Werner.

Larry graduated in the Class of 1965 from Spring Grove Area High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Millersville University. Larry retired from Wilbur Chocolate after working there as a laborer for many years. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed working on cars, attending all kinds of concerts and listening to rock and roll music.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Anne (Bankert) Werner of Shippensburg; daughter, Melissa Anne Gassmann and her husband, Bryan of Gilbert, AZ; son, Ryan Aaron Werner and his wife, Julie of Fairview, NC; two biological grandchildren, Harper and Mallory Gassmann; three step-grandchildren, Christianna Wygant, Ciara Culpepper and Jeffrey Culpepper; two step-great-grandchildren, Logan Culpepper and Weston Wygant; two sisters, Shirley Shilling and Linda Remson, both of Chambersburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his step-grandson, Wesley Culpepper.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be at the discretion of the family.
