Laura A. Crawford

Laura A. Crawford, age 58 of Gettysburg, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Cross Keys Village, The Brethren Home Community. She was born Sunday, December 14, 1958 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Johnand Bernadette(Wills) Ridenour. Laura graduated from Catoctin High School in Thurmont, Maryland. Shewas formerly employed by St. Catherine's Nursing Home in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and sharing all that she made. She was a kind soul and loved everyone she met. She enjoyed the time she had to spend with family and friends and her door was always open for advice or a listening ear. Her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren and in all those she touched. Her husband, William A. Crawford, Sr. passed in 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda L. Crawford and significant other Alex Ponce, of Gettysburg, son, William A. Crawford, Jr. of Cascade, Maryland, two granddaughters, Hailey Crawford, and Audrie Ponce, a sister, Dorothy Moser (Bobby), four brothers, Rodney Ridenour (Debbie), John Ridenour (Cheryl), Blaine Ridenour (Tracey), and Lanny Ridenour (Kim). Along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Ridenour (Karen). Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
