Laura A. Mckinney

Laura A. (Taylor) McKinney, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, age 92, Aspers died Friday, April 30, 2010 at Golden Living in Gettysburg. She will greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was born Friday, January 18, 1918 in Aspers, the daughter of late Paul R. and Annie M. (McCauslin) Taylor. She was formerly employed by Knouse Foods, Peach Glen in the cafeteria and then worked for Mt. Orchard Co-op for a number of years. Her husband Nelson G. McKinney died in 1976. She is survived by two sons: Gerald N. McKinney of Arendtsville and Owen D. McKinney and wife Mary, of Bendersville; and a sister, Byrle Forsythe of Orrtanna, She also is survived by five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Glenn Taylor, Blake Taylor, Paul Ray "June" Taylor, Rosalie Paxton, Helen Eisenhart andViolet Starner. She was also predeceased by one great granddaughter, Mikala N. Hartsock. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 4 at the Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville with the Reverend Daniel Summers officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
