Laura Miller (nee Keller) born May 16, 1957, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She was 68 years old.

Born to the late John E. Keller and Lois Thorne, Laura grew up in Gettysburg alongside her sister Dorothy K. Puhl and her brother Scott Keller. Her roots in the region remained strong throughout her life, as she built a home and family surrounded by the familiar hills and valleys of Pennsylvania.

Laura shared a devoted life with her husband, Vernon E. Miller Sr., whose memory she cherished deeply following his passing. Together they raised three children who were the pride of their lives. They are survived by all three along with their partners; daughters, Samantha L. Myers and her partner, David Hough of Bedford, PA; Sabrina L. Dugan and her husband, Paul M. Dugan of Biglerville, PA; and son, Vernon E. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie Miller of Martinsburg, WV.

She found immense joy in being a grandmother to and is survived by her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Natashya Miller and her daughters Vermella L. Miller and Phoenix R. Rock of Martinsburg, MV, Justin and Isabella Myers of Bedford, PA, and Savanah and Christopher Dugan of Biglerville, PA. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent watching them grow.

Laura was happiest when surrounded by nature – walking through the woods, tending to her garden, or feeding the hummingbirds that visited her beloved mountain home. These simple pleasures brought her peace and reflected the quiet strength with which she lived her life.

Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspiration to those who carry forward the values she held dear.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive in Shippensburg. At this time, services are at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy House of Chambersburg, 730 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
