Laura M. Wagner

Laura M. Wagner, age 90 of York Springs, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Claremont Nursing and Rehab in Carlisle. She was born Wednesday, May 30, 1923 in Spring Grove, the daughter of the late John C. and Mabel (Copenheaver) Trone. Laura graduated from Spring Grove High School.She was formerly employed by Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Mt. Victory United Methodist Church where she was choir director and organist for many years. She also sang in the Victory Four Singing Group and was a member of the York Spring Senior Citizens and Spring Grove Historical Society. Laura was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family. Her husband, Stewart C. Wagner passed away in 2001. She is survived by five daughters, Gloria Dove of Dover, Nancy Sheaffer of York Springs, Laura French of Mechanicsburg, Marie Fishel of Duncannon, Jane Wagner of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Ruby Geiman of Waynesboro, and Janet Spangler of York; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sons, Grafton Wagner who passed in 2012 and Doak Wagner who passed in 2009 and her brother, Stewart Trone. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 4 at Mt. Victory United Methodist Church, 1 Victory Church Road, Gardners with Reverend Bryan Mann officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Victory Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville on Thursday, April 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Victory United Methodist Church, 1 Victory Church Road, Gardners, PA 17324.
