Lawrence C. Sanders

Lawrence C. Sanders, Jr., age 72 of Biglerville, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Monday, March 13, 1944 in Gettysburg the son of the late Lawrence C. Sr. and Jessie E. (Swisher) Sanders. Larry graduated from Fairfield High School in 1963. He was formerly employed by Andgrow Fertilizer in Biglerville for several years. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Biglerville and the Adams County Fish and Game. He served in the US Army Reserves and was discharged in 1972. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Esther M. (Harbold) Sanders. He is also survived by one daughter, Candy S. and husband Neil Yoder of Johnstown, one son, Craig E. and wife Lauri Sanders of Downingtown, four grandchildren, Maddison and Robert Cole Sanders and Jordan and Taylor Yoder , two sisters, Carolyn Flohr and Barbara Cool both of Fairfield, one brother: James Sanders of Emmitsburg. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Elizabeth M. Yoder, sister Lois Stultz and brother Jesse Sanders. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, July 8, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 300 East York Street, Biglerville with Reverend Linda Summers officiating.
