Lee J. Bowermaster

Lee J. Bowermaster, age 77 of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Manor Care in Carlisle. He was born Thursday, February 20, 1941 in Carlisle, the son of the late Sidney P. and Mildred I. (Wise) Bowermaster. Lee graduated from Carlisle Senior High School in 1959. He was formerly employed by Piezo Crystal Plant in Carlisle for 37 years. He had previously worked at McCoy's Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs. He was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Goodyear. He enjoyed shooting archery, fishing, hunting, volleyball, bowling and shooting pool with the Salvation Senior Citizens at the center in Carlisle. He played guitar with the Larks Combo for many years until they split up in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye R. (Slusser) Bowermaster. He is also survived by two daughters, Felicia F. and husband Barry L. Steinour of Mt. Holly Springs, Melissa R. and husband Lance D. Savant of Mechanicsburg, two sons, Jeffrey L. and wife Lisa J. Bowermaster of Newville, and Owen J. Bowermaster and companion Sherry B. Hundley of Mount Holly Springs, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a sister, Sue A. Schock, and a brother, Forrest E. and wife Pauline J. Bowermaster, all of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trudy J. Stauffer, two grandchildren, Christine R. Steinour and Emily R. Bowermaster and brother-in-law, Richard L. Schock. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 21, at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with Pastor Ray Kosciolek and Assistant Pastor Jonathan Herb officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until time of services.
