Leeanna M. Kane

Leeanna M. Kane, age 92, formerly of Biglerville, died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg with her loving family by her side. She was born Wednesday, March 10, 1920 in Maysville, West Virginia,the daughter of the late Evers Samuel and Ora (Mason) Davis. Leeanna was formerly employed by C. H. Musselman Co. Biglerville for many years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Orrtanna. She was also a member of Arendtsville Fire Company Auxiliary, Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville and Senior Citizens of Biglerville. Her husband, Albert E. Kane, Jr. died in 1984. She is survived by five daughters: Carol and husband Howard Miller , Jr. of Gettysburg, Sandra and husband Ed Koller of Wrightsville, Vicki Short of Gettysburg, Laura Ann Kane of Biglerville and Deborah Kane of Aspers, two sons: Charles E. and wife Joan Kane of Hanover and Richard L. and wife Beth Kane of Tucson, AZ; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren,three great-great-grandchildren,four step grandchildren andnine step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Darlene Kessel and Barbara Kane; three sisters: May Vendetti, Edith Sweeney and Arbutus Toner; and four brothers: Lester, Earl, Ray and Stewart Davis . Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 26 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna with Reverend Father Daniel O'Brien officiating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 25 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville. A viewing will also be held in the church social hall Friday, October 26 from 9:00 AM until time of services. In conjunction with services for Leeanna, her daughter, Darlene K. Kessel who died May 6, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona will be interred with Leeanna.
