Leona E. Emlet

Leona E. Emlet, age 90 of Gettysburg, formerly of Aspers, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Transitions Health Care. She was born Wednesday, May 26, 1926 in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County, the daughter of the late William H. and Belinda M. (Kuntz) Hamilton. Leona was a homemaker most of her life. She attended Mt. Olivet United Brethren in Christ Church in Aspers. She enjoyed keeping her grandchildren, reading her Bible daily and baking cakes and pies for her family. Her husband, Harold T. Emlet, Sr. passed away in 2013. She is survived by four daughters, Darlene M. Asper of Gardners, Doris J. Ritter of Aspers, Susan A. Miller of York Springs, Sandy L. McClain of Fairfield, one son, Harold T. Emlet, Jr., of Aspers, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Timothy T. Asper and Steven A. Emlet, sister Laura Griffie and brother John Hamilton. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 22 at 10:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Loewen officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
