Leroy H. Bolen

Leroy H. Bolen, age 82 of Gardners, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home. He was born Friday, March 4, 1932 in Adams County, the son of the late Paul E. and Helen E. (Wingert) Bolen. Leroy retired from PPG Industries after 16 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and working outdoors. His wife, Mary L. Bolen passed away in 2003. He is survived by three daughters, Donna M. Kuhn of York Springs, Pam and husband Ron Hewitt of Gardners, Karen and husband Gary Aldinger of Gardners; two sons, Scott and wife Jeannette Bolen of York Springs, Roger Bolen of Gardners; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, one step-daughter, Carolyn Miller of Orrtanna, two step-sons, Clarence Rhoads of Florida and Michael Rhoads of Gardners and two sisters, Betty Myers of Biglerville and Nancy Hardman of Gettysburg. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Taylor Bolen, sister Jean Bolen and brother Donald Bolen. P rofessional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Private interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
