Leroy E. Starner, Iii

Leroy E. Starner, III, age 23 of Aspers, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 as the result of an auto accident in Butler Township. He was born Thursday, October 31, 1991 in Gettysburg, the son of Leroy E. and Georgia A. (Hayberger) Starner of Aspers. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather George D. Hayberger of Biglerville. Lee graduated from Biglerville High School in 2010. He was employed by Valley Quarries in Chambersburg for 2 years. He had been previously employed by the Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville, Oakside Community Park, and Hoss's in Gettysburg. He played in the North American Poolshooters Association Leagues, the Adams County Traveling Poolshooters League and Flying Bull Saloon Poolshooters. He was an avid drawer of cartoon characters and had studied at the Pittsburgh Art Institute. In addition to his parents and grandfather, he is also survived by two sisters, Kelly A. and Adam Jacobs of Orrtanna and Amber L. Starner of San Diego, CA; two nephews and one niece. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 21 at the American Legion Woods, 3030 Table Rock Road, Biglerville with Dr. Reverend Terry Zastovnik officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery at the discretion of the family. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 PM until time of services.
