Lincy Azucena Barrios-Ruano

Lincy Azucena Barrios-Ruano, age 18, of Chambersburg, passed away after a long battle with cancer on December 19, 2022 at Hershey Children’s Medical Center. She was born May 26, 2004 in Mazatenango, Guatemala.

Lincy Azucena loved Jesus with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. She also loved her family. She read her Bible and was a prayer warrior. She attended church at Rios de Agua Viva, Hermanos en Cristo and even learned to play guitar. She loved worship music, like “tu gracia me visito” and “ver la victoria” and spending time with her cousins at picnics and eating carne asadas.

Lincy and her family are very grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Hershey Children’s Hospital for all their love and care these past two years. Lincy’s desire was to start a foundation for children with cancer.

She is survived by her loving parents, Juan Carlos Barrios-Grijalua and Elida Judith Duran de Barrios; three siblings, Darwin Yeraldo Martinez Ruano, Carlos Abel Barrios Duran and Miledi Magali Barrios Duran and other extended family.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Mt. Rock Church, 22 Mt Rock Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Funeral Services will start at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brad Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Rock Cemetery.
