Linda L. Bloom, age 74 of Gettysburg, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 22, 2017 at her home. She was born Thursday, August 26, 1943 in Riverdale, MD, the daughter of the late Ralph T. and Mary L. (White) Davis. Linda graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD in 1961. She was formerly employed by St. Joseph Provincial House in Emmitsburg as a medical aid for 20 years. She had also worked for the Federal government in Washington D.C. She enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo and reading. Her favorite place to visit was Black Water Falls in West Virginia. She and Dan enjoyed going to his naval reunions. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Daniel R. Bloom. She is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. and husband Kirk McLendon of Willow Spring, NC, Rebecca J. and husband Eric Herring of Arendtsville, a son, James M. Bloom of Gettysburg, six grandchildren, Matthew Santay, Danielle Santay, Cory Santay, Allison Herring, Dakota Herring, and Haven Bloom, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Sharon Payne of Gettysburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James N. Davis and Ralph T. Davis. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6 at Heritage Assembly of God, 1575 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg with Pastor Todd McCauslin officiating.
