Linda Lee Hazlett Hamilton passed away on September 30, 2026. Linda was born on Wednesday, December 29, 1948, to the late Heber L. and Lydia V. Heberlig Hazlett. In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by her niece, Linda Sue Shearer, youngest son Scott Heber Hamilton, her oldest sister Dorothy and husband George D Shearer, brother-in-law Edward C. Kielkopf and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Linda graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1967 and was a member of the High School Band, Band Front, and Chorus. Linda was a member and Past Worthy Advisor of the Carlisle Assembly #81 of Rainbow Girls in 1964. She was a lifetime member of Grace United Methodist Church (Carlisle United Methodist Church) where she was also a member of the Sunday School Orchestra and a 48-year member of the Chancel Choir. Linda was also a member of the Carlisle Men's Band (Carlisle Town Band) for a short time in the 70s.

Linda graduated from HACC in 1969 with an associate's degree in education. Linda also was a waitress and assistant manager at Howard Johnson Restaurant, a bank teller at Farmers Trust Company, grocery store clerk at several local stores and various other waitress jobs, while attending Shippensburg University where she graduated in 1988 with a degree in elementary education. Linda was a substitute teacher for Carlisle, Cumberland Valley and South Middleton school districts. In 1990 she was hired by Cumberland County Courthouse, retiring from the Cumberland County Department of Public Safety in 2014.

Linda was a member of the South Mountain American Legion Auxiliary #674 in Mt. Holly Springs, a life member of the Carlisle VFW Auxiliary #477, and a member of the Carlisle Elks Lodge #578.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald P. Hamilton, son Brian R. Hamilton (wife Stacey), son Eric A. Hamilton (wife Kate), grandson Kyle B. Hamilton (wife Brittney), two great grandchildren Skylah Baskerville and Levi Hamilton, her sister Lois A. Kielkopf, and numerous nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, and cousins.

Linda loved working outside in her flower beds, and as such, flowers are welcome. For those who prefer, donations can be made in Linda's name to the Boiling Springs Civic Association, P. O. Box 362, Boiling Springs, PA 17007 or to Community Cares.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Hoffman Funeral Home in Carlisle. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs, PA.
