Linda Fay Smith

Linda Fay Smith, age 77, of Shippensburg, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 surrounded by her family at Mercy House of Chambersburg. She was born on July 14, 1946 in Newville, as the daughter of the late Ralph D. and Ruth E. (Keck) Morrison.

Linda graduated from Shippensburg High School. She retired after working as a Computer Services Operator at Shippensburg University for 23 years. She was a member of Newburg Zion United Church of Christ and Retired Public Employees Of PA, AFSME Chapter 13 in Shippensburg. In spare time, she enjoyed making patch quilts, crocheting, sewing, knitting, reading books and camping with family.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert L. Smith, Sr. of Shippensburg; daughter, Robin A. Moore and her husband, John of Shippensburg; son, Robert L. Smith, Jr. of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Katherine Beetem and her husband, Noah; Andrew Moore and Emily Moore, all of Shippensburg; one sister, Lily E. Dickinson of Fayetteville; two brothers, Charles E. Morrison of Newville and Ralph Z. Morrison of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her three sisters, Ruth M. Hock, Winifred Mixell, Betty Rosenberry, brother, Harry D. Morrison and her son, Stephen A. Smith.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be announced and held at a future date.
