Lloyd Edward Eugene Day

Lloyd Edward Eugene Day, age 82 of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Menno Haven Retirement Community in Chambersburg. He was born Sunday, April 14, 1935 in Barnesville, MD, a child of the late Wilmer and Luella (Amsley) Day. He worked in landscaping maintenance for both Chambersburg Country Club and Menno Haven Retirement Community. He loved landscaping and flowers and going to auctions on his time off. Lloyd loved his grandchildren, neighbors and friends. His nickname was “Sunshine” and “Pappy Day”. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his children, Linn Day (Cheryl) of Fayetteville, Barbara Day and Jackie Day both of Chambersburg and a grandchild, Eric Day. He is also survived by his siblings, Delores Falcone, Raymond Day, and Saundra Kelley. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Derek Day and sister, Jacqueline Eva Brindle. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 30 at Freedom in Christ Church, 4042 Sycamore Grove Road, Chambersburg with Pastor John Pogue officiating.
