Loring C. Butler

Loring E. Butler, age 80, of Aspers, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing and Rehab. He was born Friday, June 6, 1930 in New Oxford a son of the late William H. and Anna R. (Mummert) Butler. Hewas formerly employed by Knouse Foods in Gardners for almost 40 years. He was a member ofWenksville United Methodist Church, Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville, a life member of Oakside Community Park and an Honorary Member of the Upper Adams Jaycees.He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Marvel C. (Taylor) Butler to whom he was married for 55 years. He is also survived by threedaughters: Gail Butler, Lisa Butler, and Vicki Butler all of Aspers;and threesisters: Anna Golden of Gettysburg, Loretta Sandoe, and Leota Butler, both of Biglerville. He was preceded in death by his brothers John, Clarence, Ralph, A. Richard, Lloyd and Marlin and his sister Myrna Zinn. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 13th at Dugan Funeral Home with the Reverend James R. Speelman officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Adams County Allied Veterans, A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12th from 6:00 to 8:00pm and also on Wednesdayfrom 10:00am until time of services.
