Lorraine E. Pitzer

Lorraine E. (Snyder) Pitzer, age 83, of Biglerville died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Manor Care in York. She was born Tuesday, November 8, 1927 in Biglerville, the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Lillie (Allison) Snyder. Lorraine graduated from Biglerville High School in 1945. Shewas formerly employed by C. H. Musselman in Biglerville for 30 years. She was a member ofZion United Church of Christ in Arendtsville. She is survived by her husband, Eugene C. Pitzer to whom she was married for65 years. She is also survived by her son, Gerald E. Pitzer and wife Sandra of Biglerville; three grandchildren: Shellyand husband Bradley Rex of Abbottstown, Brian and wife Melissa Pitzer of Spring Grove and Emily and husband Ross Unruh of Adamstown; seven great grandchildren:Jaren, Graham and Trenten Rex, Brady and Olivia Pitzer, and Cooper and Parker Unruh; a brother, Fred K. Snyder of Biglerville.She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Pitzer and a brother, Gerald A. Snyder. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 6, at Zion United Church of Christ, 3 Gettysburg St., Arendtsville, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Blocher officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
